Steeped in trout-fishing tradition this is the behind-the-scences story of the Arcularius Ranch Resort .

Located in the Long Valley area of the Eastern Sierra, "the Ranch" was a destination resort for fly-fishing enthusiasts since the 1920's. Originally a cattle grazing property, the ranch encompassed almost 1700 acres on the headwaters of the beautiful Owens River. Just a short drive from the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area and community of Mammoth Lakes, California, the ranch was operated by the Arcularius family throughout the 20th century.
